Where Do We Go?

With food prices dramatically increasing, oil and gasoline prices at all time highs, coupled with the fact that atmospheric CO2 and Methane levels have significantly increased in 2007, the answer to that question has never been clearer.

Well thought out words delivered in emotional speeches will help, but only to keep awareness of Global Warming and Energy Independence, in the forefront.

The Mission does the one thing that will proactively address Global Warming and Energy Independence; It Takes Action Now.

The route is clear and the talking is over. It is time for action. We have to remember the past, work diligently in the present and take back our future.

Global Warming Energy Independence Mission Lets Lead By Example

Global Warming man-made or normal environmental event

Global Warming a natural enviornmental occurence or not

Most scientists will tell you that this occurrence of Global Warming is a real man-made problem that must be addressed, quickly and aggressively if we want to avoid ever worsening problems. Some scientists will tell you that the current rise in the Earths temperature is just a normal occurrence that happens periodically throughout time. Those very scientists make the point even stronger that today Global Warming is man-made and that man must change their ways.

Pre 1780’s the earths temperature had gone up during some periods because of excessive CO2 being released into the atmosphere. You are probably saying to yourself, “wait, humans did not start burning large amounts of fossil fuels until about 1900, so you see, Global Warming is not only not a man-made problem but it is not even a problem, because the earth handled the excess greenhouse gases and the temperature regulated”. You make a valid point but you need to look at the Governments own data to see how inaccurate that statement is.

In a report, the EPA states that Centuries ago, large amounts of CO2 were released from active volcanoes, causing Global Warming. Once the volcanoes, became less active and emitted much less CO2, the Earth was able to dissipate the excess greenhouse gases and the temperature returned to a normal state. Here is where it gets interesting. In the same report, it states, humans are currently emitting 150 times more CO2 than the volcanoes did during the period of Global Warming. Humans are not only emitting much more greenhouse gases, there is no end in sight.

Global Warming has been a normal ecological occurrence, but remember; it only corrected itself when those volcanoes became inactive and significantly reduced their emissions.

It just goes to show you that the Earth can regulate itself and will correct the problems it is causing, now will man do the same?

We all have to work together and start to aggressively address Global Warming and Energy Independence, NOW.
