Global Warming and Energy Independence are two problems where time and inactivity are the most detrimental forces working against us. Yes, these are separate issues but they both share an important component; the solution. The same solution used to successfully address Global Warming is the same solution to make the United States Energy Independent.

Today, most people, even those that have disagreed for decades, now agree that Global Warming is a problem that needs to be addressed. Yet, little or nothing is being done. High energy costs are raising prices on almost all consumer products and you hear politicians continually saying we need to break our addiction to foreign oil. Yet, little or nothing is being done to address the issue.

With most everyone in agreement, how can an issue with as many potential consequential negative problems, not be aggressively addressed today? The answer to that question comes down to three things; people, politics, and capitalism.

Lead By Example

Successfully addressing Global Warming is going to take a worldwide commitment, but that does not mean we do nothing, or very little, until that commitment is agreed upon. The United States is a powerful country with a large worldwide financial footprint and because of those facts; we need to start to lead by example. There is a comprehensive plan to aggressively address Global Warming now, but to get started your commitment is needed.
